At what point would you say fitness culture becomes a negative thing?

You could write a book on this lmao. Or six. There was a reply Mary @themarzipanvolta gave a while ago which I felt summed everything up really nicely. Click here.

Basically, if your pursuit of ‘fitness’ prevents you from developing other aspects of your life that are fundamental in becoming a functioning adult (such as getting a job, paying your own bills, building relationships and being able to socialise and enjoy yourself) or results in these aspects of your life going to shit, then it’s not healthy.

If you’re working and/or studying and making your own way in life, as well as finding time to spend time with your friends and family AND pay attention to your overall health and fitness, then you’re the real winners. All the abs in the world will never hold a candle to that.
